Out of the three designs, uniform in style with a special typeface making them difficult for the enemy to counterfeit, the first two were distributed in September 1939 and immediately began to appear everywhere. However, the third design which simply read 'Keep Calm' was never officially issued and remained virtually unseen by the public - until a copy turned up more than fifty years later in a box of dusty old books bought in auction.
We believe that “Keep calm and carry on” is more than just a war slogan. It is an attitude suitable for all times.
